TotalEnergies, our affiliates, employees, agents and sub-contractors may have access to your information where necessary to undertake the activities mentioned above. All such persons are obliged to respect the confidentiality of your personal data.
 

Who collects your data

TotalEnergies Renewables UK Ltd is the 'Controller’ of your personal data. We use a number of external consultancies to support with thein community engagement aspect of TotalEnergies solar farms. These consultancies act as our 'Processors', with responsibility for processing the personal data submitted through this website. These processing operations are carried out in accordance with the applicable law.

The details of each of the external consultancies, such as the company number and registered office, are listed under the relevant contact option for each solar farm. 

When we collect your personal data

When you visit the website, you may need to provide us with a number of items of personal data, such as your first name and surname, in order to use the functionalities available.

It is important that the personal data we hold about you is accurate and current. Please ensure the personal data you provide us is accurate and keep us informed if it needs to be updated.

We will only process your personal data when the law allows us to and we are required by law to have a lawful basis for processing personal data. In particular, at least one of the following must apply whenever we process personal data:

  • where the processing is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation that we are subject to

Who we share your personal data with and where it goes

Your personal data may be shared with the TotalEnergies group companies, affiliates, agents, sub-contractors, and external consultants and legal advisers working on a solar farm development in order to record, analyse and report on the feedback we receive. Depending on the planning consent process, aggregated insights (which does not include personal data) might be shared with the relevant local authorities and UK governmental departments as part of their decision-making process on the application of a solar farm. 

For the purposes of this website, we will not transfer your personal data outside the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area. Any transfer of data to a country outside of the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area shall be carried out in accordance with the applicable regulations and in such a way as to protect your data appropriately. 

How long we keep your information

We will only hold your information for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, regulatory, tax, accounting or reporting requirements.

We try to respond to all legitimate requests within one month. Occasionally it could take us longer than a month if your request is particularly complex or you have made a number of requests. In this case, we will notify you and keep you updated.
