What is digital accessibility?
An accessible website is a site that allows all Internet users to access its content associated journey touchpoints without difficulty, including people who make reasonable adjustments, have a disability and/or use specialised software or hardware.
As an example, an accessible website allows you to:
- Navigate using voice recognition systems or perceive using screen readers and/or Braille displays (especially used by blind or visually impaired Internet users)
- Customise the display of the site according to your needs (magnification of characters, modification of colours etc)
- Navigate without using the mouse, with the keyboard only or via a touch screen
Our Commitment
We are committed to making our website www.solar.totalenergies.co.uk as accessible as possible. Our aim is to ensure that all pages of our website comply with level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 (WCAG 2.1).
We made progress in 2024 towards conforming with level AA of WGAC 2.1, but we recognise there is more to be done.
Adapting your experience to your needs
This website can be viewed on a range of screen sizes and devices, including desktop, laptop, tablet and smartphone.
You might have a better experience if you change the settings on your device to suit your individual needs. For example, changing the site’s colours, increasing the text size, or having the site spoken aloud.
We recommend the following sites for help with customising your experience using accessibility features already on your computer, or for installing extra assistive technologies:

Issues we are aware of and improvements we are working towards
Accessibility to some features may be limited by the website’s content management system.
- Some of our PDF documents may not be fully accessible to all users. Please contact us for assistance if you have difficulty using any of them
- Some menus do not automatically close when keyboard users move away
- We’re reviewing our images across all pages and will improve alt text where images are decorative and meaningful
- Some of our links open in a new window so we will make this clearer for all users
- Some pages have an older page structure requiring keyboard users to tab twice to get to a link
Feedback and contact
We are always looking for ways to help people get the best experience from this website. If you experience any problems accessing the site, please contact us.
